Alexis has dedicated herself and her practice to facilitating the physical, emotional and spiritual healing of those that seek her help. She holds a Bachelors of Psychology from Texas A&M University and a Masters of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from AOMA Graduate School of Integrative Medicine.
Alexis is a constant learner and seeks opportunities to bring advanced healing techniques to her clients. She has apprenticed with leading healers in Texas and around the country, including two years working with Jon Dollar, LAc in Manual Immune Modulation and three years working at Turtle Dragon Health Services in Herbal Medicine and tincture production. She has sought advanced courses of study in Japanese and Hari Style Acupuncture with Koei Kuwahara, LAc and in multiple diagnosis techniques. In addition to her experience in Acupuncture and healing, Alexis lended her calm presence and steady demeanor as a Healthcare Coordinator, supporting children and staff at a mental health residential treatment facility for many years.
Outside of her practice, Alexis loves movement, adventures and road trips, tending her garden, making homemade tinctures and flower essences, superhero movies, and being outdoors.
She is a licensed acupuncturist in the states of Texas and Georgia. She is an NCCAOM Diplomate and is certified in Clean Needle Technique by CCAOM.
With 8 years’ experience supporting children in a residential treatment facility, Alexis brings a calm steadiness and a sense of play to her work with kids. Children’s sessions use a non-insertive needle technique that is characterized by a light tapping or brushing of the skin along the meridians using a small healing instrument called a Teishin.
Children’s healing treatments are especially helpful to alleviate anxiety, night terrors and tummy aches; calm hyperactivity; improve sleep and digestion; and boost immunity. Many parents choose to support their kids’ health with a “Back to School” immunity boosting appointment.
