At MEDICI, we understand that you want to live your life to the fullest, at your healthiest weight. We can help. Our medical weight loss program has 3 formats, phase 1, phase 2, and phase 3. All three phases include:
- FDA-approved medications for weight loss
- A simple meal plan
- InBody scanning to precisely track fat loss and muscle gain so you can see exactly how your body is changing
- Wellness scanning that determines your vitamin and antioxidant levels to guide supplementation to reduce oxidative stress and slow down the aging process.
Cost – Please read descriptions of each phase. Pricing for each phase is included in the FAQs.
Phase 1
Phase 1 includes daily oral medications, phentermine and low-dose HCTZ, which you receive from your pharmacy, and weekly injections of Lipo-B if you choose.
What is Lipo-B? It is an injection of compounds that help release fat throughout the body. These compounds are known for facilitating fat burning and therefore weight loss. Lipo-B additionally includes vitamin B12 which is essential for metabolism and energy production and aids in the growth of healthy blood cells, nerve cells, and proteins.

How does the Phase 1 program work?
At your initial visit, you’ll have a consultation with our provider with InBody scan and wellness scan. You’ll also have your baseline labs* drawn, receive prescriptions for phentermine and HCTZ, and receive our meal plan** as well as have your first lipo-B injection. You should increase your physical activity and follow our meal plan. You may come to the clinic weekly for Lipo-B injections if you wish.
These medications should not be stopped suddenly. You will need to be weaned off them based on a set schedule should you decide to stop the program.
Who should NOT participate in the Phase 1 program?
This program is not an option if you have heart disease, uncontrolled high blood pressure, arrythmia or palpitations, coronary artery disease, diabetes, decreased kidney function/CKD, an overactive thyroid, or glaucoma.
It is also not for women who are pregnant, may become pregnant, or are breastfeeding.
What is an InBody scan?
InBody 750 measures your body composition so you can see and track changes in muscle mass, fat mass, and body fat percentage. It uses an advanced bioelectric analysis with direct segmental measurements. It does not use estimations based on gender, age, ethnicity, or body shape, which means it provides more accurate results.
What is the cost of Phase 1?
Your initial visit is $250. This includes InBody scan, wellness scan, labs*, prescriptions, and our meal plan**.
Each monthly follow-up visit is $200. This includes updated weigh-in, wellness scan (if applicable), and new prescriptions. You may come to the clinic weekly for Lipo-B injections if desired. Quarterly, you will get a new InBody scan, wellness scan (if applicable), labs, and possibly EKG.
*Our labs are sent to Quest. You will receive a bill from them. We can give them your insurance information to apply to this bill.
Phase 2
Phase 2 is our next step in the program. It is also a daily medication but it will be delivered from our pharmacy straight to your door! The medication, Bella2, is compounded to include the most popular and effective FDA-approved weight loss medicines available today, phentermine, topiramate, bupropion, naltrexone, and methylcobalamin/B12. These medicines are slow release so you shouldn’t have increased hunger at the end of the day!

How does the Phase 2 program work?
Phase 2 is for individuals who have done phase 1 but have not lost any weight or have plateaued. Because of this, you will not have an initial visit fee. We will transition you to phase 2 at the end of a phase 1 month. You’ll have monthly visits with weigh-ins. There are no weekly Lipo-B injections. Again, you should increase your physical activity and follow our meal plan.
We will send the prescription for your new medication to our compounding pharmacy. This medication is called Bella2 and includes slow-release bupropion, phentermine, topiramate, naltrexone, and B12. These are compounded versions of FDA-approved medications called Contrave and Qsymia as well as vitamin B12.
These medications should not be stopped suddenly. You will need to be weaned off them based on a set schedule should you decide to stop the program.
Who should NOT participate in the Phase 2 program?
This program is not an option if you have heart disease, uncontrolled high blood pressure, arrythmia or palpitations, coronary artery disease, diabetes, decreased kidney function/CKD, an overactive thyroid, seizure disorder, liver problems, or glaucoma. You should not take this medication if you are on high doses of opioids, as naltrexone has opioid-blocking effects.
Topiramate/bupropion may cause worsening depression, suicidal thoughts, or changes in behavior. You should call your healthcare provider right away if you experience these symptoms.
It is also not for women who are pregnant, may become pregnant, or are breastfeeding.

What is the cost of Phase 2?
Your initial visit has already been paid when you joined phase 1.

Phase 3
Phase 3 is the final step in our program. It is for those people who are successful with phase 2 but hit a plateau or those individuals who are unable to lose weight on Phase 1/2. You must have BMI >30 or BMI >27 with weight-related medical problems.
Phase 3 includes injections of medications that are FDA-approved for weight loss called Wegovy (semaglutide) or Saxenda (liraglutide). These glucagon-like peptide receptor agonists (GLP-1) medications have been shown to cause significant weight loss, much greater than with oral medications. Studies have revealed excellent long-term effects similar to some weight loss surgeries.

How does the Phase 3 program work?
Phase 3 is for individuals who have done phase 1 and/or phase 2 but have plateaued. Because of this, you will not have an initial visit fee. We will transition you to phase 3 at the end of a phase 2 month. You’ll have monthly visits with weigh-ins. There are no weekly Lipo-B injections. Again, you should increase your physical activity.
Your medications include Wegovy or Saxenda. Wegovy injections are done weekly while Saxenda injections are done daily. The medicines are injected into subcutaneous areas such as the lower abdomen, love handles, and back of arm with a very small needle. You will be taught to perform these injections on yourself in our clinic. You should also increase your physical activity.
Where can I get more information on Wegovy and Saxenda?
You can visit wegovy.com or saxenda.com for a wealth of information regarding these medications.
They are given to you by prescription, which you then fill at your local pharmacy. They are expensive and many insurances do not cover them so be sure to check with your insurance plan. We can also verify that for you. We can help you get a savings card from the manufacturer that will offer an additional $200 savings off what your insurance will pay.
What if my insurance doesn’t approve me for Wegovy/semaglutide or Saxenda/liraglutide?
If your insurance does not approve these medications, we do have a compounding pharmacy that will send Wegovy to the clinic in vials. We will separate the medication into syringes for you to administer at home. The cost of this medication is expensive and is in addition to the monthly fees for the program.
