At MEDICI, we understand that you want to live your life to the fullest, at your healthiest weight. We can help. Our medical weight loss program now has 2 formats, phase 1 and phase 2. Both include FDA-approved medications for weight loss.

Phase 1

Phase 1 includes daily oral medications and weekly injections of Lipo-B.

What is Lipo-B? It is an injection of compounds that help release fat throughout the body. These compounds are known for facilitating fat burning and therefore weight loss. Lipo-B additionally includes vitamin B12 which is essential for metabolism and energy production and aids in the growth of healthy blood cells, nerve cells, and proteins.

How does the program work?

At your initial visit, you’ll have a consultation with our provider, have your baseline labs* drawn, and get your first Lipo-B injection. You’ll also receive prescriptions for FDA-approved weight loss medications. You should follow a healthy, reduced-calorie diet and increase your physical activity.

You’ll receive weekly Lipo-B injections and weigh-ins during the following month.

You’ll have follow-up visits every 3 months after your initial appointment. During this visit, you’ll have repeat labs*, an EKG, and receive another 3 months of prescriptions.

How much is our Phase 1 program?

The cost of the program is $240 per month.

Who should NOT participate in this program?

This program is not an option if you have heart disease, uncontrolled high blood pressure, arrythmia or palpitations, coronary artery disease, diabetes, decreased kidney function/CKD, an overactive thyroid, or glaucoma. It is also not for women who are pregnant, may become pregnant, or are breastfeeding.

Phase 2

Phase 2 is for those people who are successful with phase 1 but hit a plateau or those individuals who are unable to lose weight on Phase 1. Phase 2 includes weekly injections of a medication that is FDA-approved for weight loss, called Wegovy (semaglutide), a glucagon-like peptide receptor agonist (GLP-1). GLP-1 medications were developed for diabetes treatment but were also shown to cause significant weight loss, much greater than with oral medications. Studies have revealed excellent long-term effects similar to some weight loss surgeries.

How does the program work?

You will come to the clinic weekly (on the same day every week) for subcutaneous injections of Wegovy and a weigh-in. You should also follow a healthy, reduced-calorie diet and increase your physical activity.

You’ll have follow-up visits every 3 months after your initial appointment. During this visit, you’ll have repeat labs* and an EKG.

How much is our Phase 2 program?

The cost of the program is $300 per week.

Who should NOT participate in this program?

This program is not an option for you if you or anyone in your family has a history of thyroid cancer called medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC) or if you have a condition called Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN 2). You may have adverse effects if you have pancreas or kidney issues, history of type 2 diabetes AND diabetic retinopathy, depression, suicidal thoughts, or mental health issues. You should not take Wegovy if you are already taking other medications to treat diabetes including sulfonylureas or insulin. You should not use Wegovy if you are pregnant, plan to become pregnant, or are breastfeeding.

*Our labs are sent to Quest. You may receive a bill from them. We can give them your insurance information to apply to this bill.
