BOTOX Cosmetic® (onabotulinumtoxinA) is an injectable treatment that improves the appearance of wrinkles with almost no downtime.
We use very small needles for an almost painless experience.
Botox is FDA-approved to reduce wrinkles between the eyebrows and in the forehead and crow’s feet regions.
How does Botox work?
For most people, the results from Botox injections last 3-6 months. After this time, wrinkles and lines may reappear. However, after repeated treatments, they may appear less severe.
How long does it take to see the results?
Results typically take 7-10 days with full effect up to 30 days later. However, some people notice results as early as 48 hours after injections.
Who shouldn’t get Botox?
You should NOT get Botox if:
If you take aspirin, NSAIDs, or any anticoagulants (blood thinners), you will have an increased risk for bleeding and bruising from Botox.
If you take immunosuppressive therapy, chemotherapy, or HIV/AIDS treatment, you will need a letter of clearance from your physician before you can receive Botox injections.
Will my health insurance pay for Botox?
Botox is not covered by insurance when used for cosmetic purposes.
Pricing
Botox pricing is based on the number of units required for each area. It is difficult to give Botox pricing without an in-person consultation in which our provider evaluates your specific needs. However, we can give you an idea of typical scenarios and prices below.
Please note, our Botox provider believes that less is more. We typically start with conservative treatment, meaning fewer units, but we will discuss your proposed treatment plan so you can decide how many units you want.
Forehead lines: Approximately 10–20 units
Glabellar (11) lines: Approximately 20 units
Crow’s feet: Approximately 12 units per side, 24 units

What should I do to prepare for my visit?
Don’t wear makeup to your appointment.
Don’t drink alcohol or smoke cigarettes for at least 24 hours before your appointment, as they can cause bleeding and bruising.
Don’t take NSAIDs (ibuprofen/Motrin or naproxen/Aleve) or aspirin during the week before your appointment (preferably 2 weeks). These medications can cause bruising.
Schedule your appointment at least 2 weeks before any special events, as it can take time to see results and there is a possibility for bruising.
